Sarah Beckett: England forward has joined Sale Sharks

Beckett’s older brother Charlie joined Sale last season as defense coach.

“Charlie will be really nice to work with. He’s a great coach with some brilliant ideas,” he said.

“We’ve really come together in the way we look at the game and it would be amazing to win a championship with him.”

Sales have enjoyed a breakthrough season this year.

Having finished Premiership Women’s Rugby in 2024-25, with one win from 16 games, they are fighting two rounds of fixtures to secure the final play-off spot this campaign.

Beckett, Stratford and Hurd are the latest big-name England recruits from the ambitious team, with fly-half Holly Aitchison and hooker Amy Koken signed last summer, along with Scotland wing Rona Lloyd.
