Nintendo’s newest WarioWare is an amazing smartphone app

Like a lot WarioWare, Pictonic (which, I admit, I don’t know how to pronounce) is a group of games that last a few seconds each. In each round, you play 10 of these in a row, and usually only have enough time to figure out what you need to do before moving on to the next thing. You are given a simple command like, say, “chomp,” and then you have to do things like hold your mouth and chew food. The game is very silly in a funny way, so you’ll be pulling hair, licking lollipops, and peeling bananas as fast as you can.

Twisting inside Pictonic and that all games use the camera roll for your customized experience. The game pulls faces from pictures and inserts them into microgames, so I found myself making my wife shake a kebab with an annoyingly large mouth, or wipe the lamp to see a buff 10-year-old genie. The game allows you to choose the images that you want to appear in the game so that things are not weird, and sometimes they draw things that are not human. I once had to compare a picture that was divided into three parts, and that was the picture I took during my presentation at the Nintendo Museum in Kyoto.
