Glamorgan sign New Zealander Neesham to soften Fazal Haq Farooqui T20 push

Glamorgan have signed veteran New Zealand all-rounder Jimmy Neesham for the remainder of their Twenty20 Blast campaign after losing pacer Fazlhaq Farooqui.

The Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB) sent Farooqui back.

Neesham, 35, has played 105 Twenty20 internationals, including the recent World Cup final against India where he took three wickets.

He has played for the Welsh Fire in the Hundred – plus Derbyshire, Durham, Essex and Kent – and has extensive franchise experience around the world, including the Indian Premier League (IPL), Australia’s Big Bash and leagues in South Africa, Pakistan and the West Indies.

Farocki, 25, signed in March and played in the first two games of this season’s competition.
