Identifying the characteristics of administrative changes in Al Hilal

“Al Hilal” club company is preparing to make large-scale administrative changes in the upcoming period within the framework of the restructuring program of executive positions in the club.

According to Saudi newspaper Al-Riyadiya, the current moves include a change in the responsibilities of Spaniard Steve Calzada from club CEO to Commercial CEO, with the aim of tapping into his extensive experience in marketing and sports investment.

Calzada is considered one of the most famous managerial names in international sport since he took over the executive chairmanship of Al Hilal in early 2024. He also previously worked as Commercial Director at City Football Group in addition to his experience with Barcelona, Spain and the European Football Association.

On the other hand, Suleiman Al Hatlan’s name stands out as one of the most popular candidates to take over as CEO in the next round, given his strong administrative presence at the club in recent years.

Al Hatlan currently holds the position of Vice Chairman of Al Hilal and previously served on the Board of Directors since 2018, having assumed the position of Vice Chairman under Fahd bin Nafel and Nawaf bin Saad.

Al Hatlan has a strong academic and administrative background as he holds a Master’s degree in Accounting from California State University in the United States, in addition to a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from King Saud University.
