Hull City: The Football Association has complained to the club over Chelsea’s discriminatory chants

Hull City have been charged by the Football Association with discriminatory chants following their FA Cup loss to Chelsea in February.

Four people were arrested for allegedly chanting offensive slogans during the tie.

Chelsea Pride, the club’s official LGBTQ+ supporters’ group, said in a statement after the match: “Tonight, homophobic chants were once again directed at our supporters. This is completely unacceptable.

“We recognize that Hull City Stadium has announced, confirmed CCTV monitoring and arrests have been made. Action matters, accountability matters, consequences matter.

“But let’s be clear, the fact that this mantra is still being heard in 2026 is a stain on our game.”
