Mohamed Salah. I sacrificed my youth and my fans lived a fairy tale

Egypt national team captain Mohamed Salah has sent a touching message to fans, where he spoke about his long journey with football, culminating in an exceptional nine-year career at English club Liverpool, during which he created one of the most famous stories in modern football.

On the sidelines of the Egypt national team camp, Salah recalled his early beginnings in Europe in a media statement linked to one of his sponsoring companies, stressing that his dream from the beginning was to make a real impact on the masses and become a source of inspiration for new generations.

The Egyptian star acknowledged the number of sacrifices he has made throughout his career, noting that he sacrificed all of his youth to reach the highest levels, a path that was by no means easy and required strict dedication and intense training every day.

Salah explained that the side of players’ lives that the public doesn’t see is the most difficult, stressing that being away from normal life at an early age to focus entirely on football was a tough ordeal that lasted for many years.

The Egypt national team captain ended his message with a tone of pride and gratitude, saying he was satisfied with what he had performed, giving his fans even an unexpected “fantastic success story” for him, adding that the hope remains to see new generations surpass what they have achieved and continue on the path to the best.
