Oura’s New Ring 5 Is Smaller and Lighter—and Adds an AI Health Coach

Blood Pressure Indicators continuously analyzes biometric patterns that may be associated with cardiovascular stress. The new Nighttime Blood Pressure feature monitors whether blood pressure drops appropriately when a person sleeps. Oura says this metric can reveal heart risks that daytime readings can miss. You can also add a cuff count to give it some extra detail.

Meanwhile, Night Breathing provides a 30-day overview of sleep-disordered breathing to identify changes that may affect sleep quality or indicate problems. Earlier this month, Oura announced a partnership with Resmed which provides sleep information users with access to sleep medicine services, comprehensive sleep testing, and access to independent health care providers for information and treatment.

The Ring 5 is available in sizes 6 to 13, and Oura encourages all buyers, including existing members, to use the company’s revised equipment before ordering, as the smaller design may fit differently than previous generations. New is multi-ring support, which allows users to connect and switch between multiple Ring 4 and Ring 5 devices on one account at no additional cost.
