While the darting world looks to the prospect of another Luke Littler and Luke Humphries Premier League final, the world number one’s thoughts have not yet turned to that.
Humphries and Littler head to London’s O2 Arena to face Jonny Clayton and Gerwyn Price respectively in their semi-final for the chance to face each other again.
Littler achieved glory in their 2024 Premier League final game, famously hitting a nine-darter, with Humphries taking revenge in 2025.
Although the world’s top two are used to meeting each other in finals, Littler isn’t letting the Welshman get in his way.
In fact, he admitted that he would have liked to face Humphries in the semi-finals.

“The most important thing for me is just the finals. Three finals in a row would mean everything to me,” Littler said.
“I am focused on winning the semi-final and going to another final.
“Hopefully if I get past the gauge (price) I’ll have a break, see another semi-final.
“(To face Luke Humphries) in the final would be good’. I think everyone is probably fed up with me and Luke meeting in the final, but we’re one and two so we’re going to meet in the final.”
“I’d rather face Luke (Humphries) in the semi-finals,” Littler added Sky Sports.
“Obviously, if I had beaten him in the semifinals last week, I would have played him tomorrow night. But that’s the way it is.”

Littler has won his last eight meetings with Price, a statistic that should make Littler the clear favorite.
‘The Nuke’, however, does not seem to affect ‘The Iceman’.
“I don’t think it will be in the back of his mind,” he added.
“Tomorrow is not necessarily fresh but it is a semi-final.
“I expect the best from him. I always play well against him and he plays well against me.”

Luke Littler has set another record by winning three nights in a row during the Premier League of Darts.
It is well documented that Humphries goes into finals night as the most in-form player, and has made it to four consecutive Premier League finals.
But does that make him the best player in the world at the moment? Not according to Littler who has won 17 consecutive semifinals.
“I didn’t know about that record (in the semifinals) but now doing it, it’s a boost,” Littler said.
“To get that trophy back would mean everything. It was my first big win and hopefully I can get that trophy back.
“If you’re No. 1, you’re the best in the world no matter what. You’re No. 1 for a reason but it’s a semi-final.”

Garwyn Price spoke to Sky Sports’ Michael Bridges ahead of Premier League finals night, where he is confident of going all the way. ‘Iceman’ kicks off the evening against Luke Littler, who has faced massive boos from fans throughout the campaign.
Looking at the head-to-head between Price and Littler, they are heavily in the latter’s favor as he has won six out of six against the Welshman in this year’s Premier League.
Price says those stats don’t matter and it comes down to how he performs individually.
“I don’t think it matters. I have a chance to win and I’m back,” Price said.
“If I’m playing anywhere near my best, I’ll be there.”
“The last few times I know I’ve fallen short and there’s been chances where I should have won, like for Michael (van Gerwen) in the past, but what better place to do it than on O2 Premier League final night,” he added.
“I think it’s going to be my turn.”

Price hasn’t been involved in a lot of tournaments in the build-up to finals night, and while he admits he’s played more for preparation purposes, he says the schedule sometimes doesn’t allow it.
“You can’t play everything. You’ll burn yourself out completely. The schedule is absolutely hectic and if you play everything, you’ll never be at home,” he added.
“You have to make time for your family as well as your job, and that’s it – it’s my job and it’s my livelihood. I’ll be around as much as I can, but there are days where I need to rest.”
