Barcelona have agreed a deal with Newcastle to sign winger Anthony Gordon.
Gordon will now fly to Barcelona on Thursday for his treatment.

Gordon missed Newcastle’s final six games of the season
Gordon, who finished as Newcastle’s top scorer this season with 17 goals, has a long-term contract extension at St James’ Park until October 2024 with four years remaining on that contract.
But the former Everton winger has been an unused sub for Newcastle’s last four games, as the club look to protect him ahead of an expected summer move.
Newcastle CEO David Hopkinson told reporters earlier this year That club may have to sell to buy big this summer.
Sky Sports News Earlier this month, Bayern Munich were keen to add Gordon to an attacking list that already includes England captain Harry Kane, former Premier League players Michael Ollis and Luis Diaz.
But Barcelona are now ready to seal the transfer ahead of the World Cup.

“What’s interesting is that the two clubs that were fighting for his signature are from the continent – Barcelona and Bayern Munich – and I think that will have a lot to do with what he does in the Champions League this season.
“Only Kylian Mbappe and Harry Kane have scored more goals than Gordon’s 10. It’s a great comeback. In that competition, his numbers were sensational. His numbers in the Premier League weren’t that good.
“Yes, he has scored six runs, his total is 17, which looks good on paper. But obviously his best form this season has been reserved for the Champions League.
“He can also play a number of positions. Usually, he’s played in a 4-3-3 on the left-hand side, but at times he’s been used a lot, often to devastating effect.
“Barcelona have got a lot of assets, like Lamin Yamal and Rafinha. Robert Lewandowski is leaving, so maybe that gives him an opening in midfield. That ability to play in several positions is what attracted Barcelona.
“He’s got great pace, he’s scored all kinds of goals and he’s improved a lot as a Newcastle player since coming from Everton. He’s 25, he’s an England international and I can see him fitting into the lifestyle there, the style of football.
“Newcastle fans will be disappointed that they’ve lost one of their star players, but I think it’s easier for Barcelona to lose him than it would be if they lost him to Arsenal, who were interested, and Liverpool, who signed him almost two years ago.”

“It seemed for a long time that if Gordon was to go anywhere, Bayern would add to an attacking line-up that was already full of Premier League experience.
“Now that Barcelona are in pole position, it also begs the question of what will happen with Marcus Rashford’s future.
“The Manchester United loanee has already made it clear he wants to stay at Barcelona next season, and is believed to be willing to take a pay cut to make that happen.
“United do not want to negotiate another loan deal and believe the £26m option price is more than fair.
“Can Rashford play for more than England glory at the World Cup? He can also play to convince Hansie Flick and Barcelona’s hierarchy.”
