On Sunday, Jones celebrated her first win in the first round of the sport’s four Grand Slams – although it was her first at Roland Garros.
British number four former top-10 player Haddad admitted coming through the “toughest time of my career” to beat Mia.
Earlier this year, Jones suffered lingering concussion symptoms after a freak gym accident, in which a locking mechanism on a leg press machine failed and a 45-pound weight landed on her head and knees.
That incident occurred just as she was nearing a return to full fitness, after the Australian Open in January was interrupted by a torn muscle in her hip.
Her focus will now be on the grass court season and her bid for her first major title at Wimbledon.
“I think this week proved that I always bounce back,” Jones added.
“I trust my mentality, so I put myself in a position above the grass and keep winning matches.”
