Xreal, famous its highest form smart glassesmaking its tools more accessible. On Wednesday, the company revealed a new model – X By Xreal – which focuses on lightweight glasses that start at $299.
Xreal is a Chinese technology company that manufactures displays smart glasses. Its devices connect to a phone, laptop, or computer and provide a display that projects a large, high-quality video into the wearer’s eyes. Lenses are designed to provide sharp, good good How to play games or watch movies on the big screen, without craning your neck on your phone, laptop, or game in hand.
X And Xreal, or xbx for short, sounds like Microsoft’s famous gaming console, but Xreal thinks it’s different enough that the naming convention won’t incur Redmond’s wrath. The first two lenses—a01—take a look as they show the Xbox model, with the xbx logo presented on the frames in a bright yellow-green color that makes the comparison.

The a01s are extra light, weighing around 62 grams (0.14 pounds). Xreal claims that the display has a brightness of 1600 nits, with support for HDR10, anti-shake system to stabilize the image, and adjustable frames. They are designed to be comfortable, wearable glasses that people can keep on their faces, whether they are “laying in bed watching shows late at night or playing with friends for a long time,” according to the company’s release. Since they connect to a phone or laptop that does a lot of video, the glasses don’t need their own batteries.
Xreal’s main goal with its glasses is to excel in wearability. Desktop computers have long struggled on this front. The most powerful systems produce more serious caseswho is hard on the face. Major manufacturers of smart glasses, such as Meta and Googlethey want to squeeze as much stuff as possible into their smart glasses while keeping them comfortable and convenient. The meta, which has been very successful on this front, still struggled to keep up super strong glasses from the exit.
Xreal’s reflective lenses take a different approach, focusing on the most commonly used foods. They are not designed to be worn on the go, although the high brightness and chromatic dimming feature mean they can be used outdoors.
