TThere has been some big news in the past few weeks in the world of video games: the long-running shooter Destiny 2 is finish after almost nine years, PlayStation seems to have decided stop releasing its most popular game on PC, and Microsoft wants us to look like we’re shouting we always write XBOX. But the big news for me is that I have found a word that I really like. I will be very bold to call it a new Word.
Ribbit is one of the different daily games I can smell itonline gaming platform. It started in early January, but I found it recently because I’ve been unhappy, tired, and spending too much time on my phone. Puzzmo’s daily battles include fun shape-shifting games, variations of chess that make me feel so silly, and fun word games, which I really like. Areas make you connect the beginnings and ends of words (eg “cold stone > cold medicine > medicine cabinet”) as quickly as possible. Bongo gives you a number of tiles and asks you to arrange them to win.
But no one can compare to Ribbit. It gives you many letters connected by lines, and you have to find hidden words inside them. If you like Spelling Bee or Wordscapes, you’ll love this – but what really sets Ribbit apart is the clever graphics. You can see how the letters are supposed to connect, which means that every word you find eliminates other possibilities. If you find all the words with a certain letter, then that letter turns into a happy frog. As you find words, the screen fills with frogs, until you finally find them all, and then the frogs call you.
One word goes a long way: I found the hippocampus in the latest photos in less than a minute and had the same euphoria as the first sip of a cold pint on a sunny day. I find it very interesting in seemingly simple things, which is exactly what Wordle was back in 2022. It’s a great 10 minutes a day to feel creative and creative. Frogs, when they are seen in good health, represent my pride that has returned to me. WHO they don’t Want to start (or end) their day by filling a cell phone full of cute amphibians? I think Puzzmo should start offering a way to share your results that includes lots of frog emojis, to start the threat that Wordle’s amazing green, gray and yellow cubes have inspired on Twitter.
It is a perfect example of a “screentime swap” – a way to use your phone that doesn’t make you feel like your brain is slowly dying. To be honest, giving up our phones is out of the question for most of us, due to complicated things like our jobs, and the unfortunate need for school WhatsApp groups. But even the slightest deliberate re-invention of the way we use our phones can have a transformative effect, preventing us from succumbing to algorithmic attention and mindless scrolling. Playing a game instead of eating before I wake up in the morning makes me feel so much better.
Important games are not always in the evenings or weekends or months of our lives. Sometimes they live in these few moments in the middle of everyday life. When I asked him the people who make Candy Crush a few years ago – one of the easiest and most popular sports in the world – proudly took that place. “It doesn’t interfere or compete with something important in your life. It fits into the little pockets of your day. And solving small problems is something that’s uniquely fun for people,” said Paula Ingvar, director of Soda Saga’s Candy Crush game at the time. “It’s good to start your day with a win at something.” The latest research on mental health is that if you achieve something small, you are ready to do something big.”
Ribbit is my current success. Join now – if I have anything to do with this, it’s about to hit the big time.
If you’re not roaring right now in Tokyo in the Forza Horizon supercar, can I say the fun and unusual game of this new platform with Nintendo’s friendly dinosaur? Yoshi has been the star of some of Nintendo’s best games and this new adventure, Yoshi is an Amazing Bookit is more subtle than its beauty would suggest. As Yoshi wanders through the pages of an anthropomorphic natural encyclopedia, encountering the creatures described within, creator Good-Feel throws creative ideas around and lets them run wild. A very fun game if you have kids who watch you play and give ideas to solve the pictures.
Available at: Nintendo Switch 2
Estimated time: 15 hours
My little one has been very excited about new things Lego Batman game, which features late-game commentary on a photo by Scottish gamer-turned-Twitch streamer, Limmy. His on stream reaction it made my day.
The new upcoming version of Unreal Engine – The Epic game engine, which powers probably half of the games you’ve ever played – was featured at the Rocket League tournament at the end of the week. RC cars playing football have never looked so good.
Over the years, we’ve been trying to agree on what we should call a game Vampire Survivors and Football x downwhere you mow down ever-increasing waves of enemies using powerful weapons that turn you into a deadly sniper. Unfortunately, Steam has resolved the dispute showing the “bullet in the sky” sign.. I still like my old idea: horde control.
There is a Lord of the Rings RPG on the way from Kingdom Come: Deliverance studio Warhorse. These are excellent article for Tolkien fans: Warhorse’s attention to detail is second to none.
Reader James presents this week’s question:
“Which sports personalities or countries would you like to see them play differently from their usual form?game style. Who wouldn’t want to see how Gray Prince Zote can do against Shakra?”
Like a Happy Hollow Knight fans I agree with this idea. I am very happy Zelda Hyrule Warriors games, my favorite games that just let Link and my friends be so bad; Nightmare Kart it started as a fan-made game for Bloodborne karting. Inspired by Dead or Alive Xtreme Beach Volleyball, which took all the female characters from a fighting game and had them hanging out on the beach with their bikinis exposed, I love the idea of removing the characters. Resident Evil and just put them in a fun game where they can all hang out and have a good time relaxing instead of killing zombies. (In theory you can achieve this with the art of creating inspired people Tomodachi’s life.) Those boys need a to break.
Readers: what are your thoughts on the unexpected game?
