Redmagic’s flagship 11S Pro comes with an upgraded Snapdragon processor

Nubia has announced the global launch of the Redmagic 11S Pro, its new Android sports phone. It’s not a big change from the 11 Pro, though was launched worldwide last Novemberbut it has been upgraded to Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 Leading Version.

Otherwise things look the same. There’s a large 7,500mAh battery, 80W power, and a 144Hz screen with a rear-facing camera. The company AquaCore cooling returns, including a 24,000 RPM fan and a true liquid cooling system – not the simple vapor chamber found on other phones. The main disadvantage of the 11S Pro is that the RAM has 16GB and is limited to 512GB, with no sign of the 24GB + 1TB configuration available for the 11 Pro. To blame Ramageddon.

The base price has also gone up, now $849 in the US, up from $749, but that’s partly because of the welcome simplicity: Every model now includes a transparent back to show off the fluorescent water cooling, previously an optional upgrade. The sale starts on June 10though early bird availability starts on June 3, with a chance to get a $29 discount. 11S Pro in the past was launched in China on May 18 in two different models – the international model is a hybrid of the two, although it is very close to the Chinese 11S Pro Plus.
