The Witcher 3 is getting another expansion, ten years after its launch

The fourth Witcher game It might be a way, but fans won’t be without Geralt of Rivia for long. CD Project Red has just announced Old Songsthird expansion of The Witcher 3which will start in 2027.

Aside from the title, there isn’t much to say about the expansion yet. It is being produced jointly by CDPR and Polish partners Fool’s Theory. The first two additions to the game – Hearts of Stone and Blood and Wine – were all introduced within a year of the original game. That said, things haven’t been quiet, like The Witcher 3 has seen notable changes since then, including the next big version in 2022which supports features and functionality.

Such long-term treatment is rare, but it tends to occur in successful sports, as such Grand Theft Auto V it was released in three generations of consoles. The Witcher 3 has sold more than 60 million copies since launch, according to CDPR, making it one of the best-selling games of all time.

When it starts, Old Songs will be available on PS5, Xbox, and PC (all that’s left are some system requirements), and the studio says we’ll hear more about development this summer. With Summer Game Fest kicking off next week, it probably won’t be long before we find out more.
