For the past few years, Motorola’s flagship phones have been the Razr phones, but the 2026 is different. This time around, the first Fire to bend like a tablet, the Razr Foldsomewhere it covers smartphones, but a $2,000 foldable phone that is not made by Samsung has a very small slice of the smartphone market. The Razr phone is very practical, both financially and strategically. But are these phones worth buying over the top?
Cell phones are no longer something you have to convince people to buy. Unless you go out of your way to integrate technology into your daily life, a cell phone is just a necessity. The way some companies market their phones – making boring phones seem like a lifestyle choice – doesn’t take this into account. However, Motorola knows what the Razr is.

These phones are original and all about vibes. It’s fun and beautiful; there are desktop displays, small external display programs, and quirky camcorder features. Foldables are universal and stylish, but the Razrs take this to the next level with unique designs and Pantone-certified colors. This gives the Razrs a selling point before you get to other products or accessories. And they need this because speed and food are not something special.

The 2026 Razrs don’t change much in the design department compared to last year’s models, but that’s okay. They still look good. There are wood panels, soft-touch plastics, vegan leather, and synthetic fabrics—all things you won’t find on the latest devices from Samsung, Google, or Apple. These are, hands down, the most beautiful phones you can buy right now.

However, even after many years, these phones are still the easy choice for smartphone buyers, and some people should not even think about getting them even if they are well designed. When you buy a new phone, most people immediately put it in an OtterBox or similar armor and slap on a protective case. Then, after a year or two, when they want to remove the case for some reason, they are surprised by the quality of their phone. If that’s you, the 2026 Motorola Razrs aren’t the phones you’re looking for – just walk away.
