I never liked laptops until I tried the Bellroy Laptop Caddy

I have never been a person who uses a laptop. I’ve tried many of them over the years, but the laptop compartment inside my bag is always secure enough, especially considering I don’t travel or go to work. But then, I tried a laptop that somehow doubles as a full bag, and it became my daily carry-on.

The sleeve in question is the 16-inch Bellroy Laptop Caddy. Unlike most laptop sleeves, this one doesn’t just have one compartment with small pockets here and there. The main bag is very large and can hold any laptop imaginable, including the most advanced 16-inch laptops.

For a small computer, if a 13-inch MacBook Airthere is plenty of room for more. So much space, in fact, that it is not difficult to load a second device in it. As a laptop reviewer, it’s not unusual for me to carry two at once, so while I enjoy the versatility of the 16-inch sleeves, know that there is a smaller 14-inch option that will suit your needs. But even if you don’t find yourself lugging around two exploding laptops, you might be in a place where you might want to slide tablet or an accessory such as a portable keyboard or laptop stand. With this amount of space, almost anything is possible.

My biggest gripe with most laptop sleeves is that they often don’t have a pocket big enough for a power adapter. This is especially true if you are carrying a large laptop with a very powerful brick, like 16-inch MacBook Pro. With the Bellroy, however, this is not a problem thanks to two large pockets inside, one of which is perfect for the adapter and cable. I’ve used the other bag for things like my phone, external SSD, and audio. These bags are made of stretchy mesh, making them useful for storing thicker items as well.

Between the two inner pockets are two pen holders, which can hold a pen like pen Apple Pencil. There is also a small empty space for something like a notebook, Kindle, book, or whatever else you might be carrying at the time.
