Evangelos Marinakis: Nottingham Forest owner filmed in heated brawl at basketball game

Nottingham Forest owner Evangelos Marinakis was filmed having a heated altercation during the EuroLeague basketball final in Athens on Sunday.

Marinakis, 58, who also owns Olympiacos, was at the event to watch the Olympiacos basketball team’s 92-85 victory over Real Madrid.

Footage of the event shared on social media showed Marinakis arguing in the stands while wearing a torn shirt and being separated by a barrier and security staff.

The video doesn’t show who Marinakis is arguing with, though Greek media, outsider It is said to be Grigoris Dimitriadis, a former close adviser to Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis.

BBC Sport has contacted Nottingham Forest for comment.

Forest drew 1-1 with Bournemouth on the final day of the Premier League on Sunday as the club finished 16th.
