“Only love is not enough.” Why is Modric’s future with AC Milan up in the air?

Uncertainty is growing over Croatian Luka Modric’s AC Milan future, according to a press release today, Monday.

“AS” newspaper clarified. “Love exists, but it alone is not enough to last. A project is needed. This is exactly the kind of turnaround that makes Luka Modric’s future at Milan certain.”

The talk in the Rossoneri camp began, and rightly so, about trying to win the league or at least guarantee a place in the next round of the Champions League.

The problem is that after the team failed to qualify for the Champions League, no one in the coaching staff was guaranteed their position, not even Allegri.

Milan have days to think and all signs point to a revolution, starting with the departure of CEO Giorgio Forlani and Igli Tare himself.

In turn, coach Allegri will not resign, but he may be fired by Milan, and this will also affect Modric, who has a special relationship of mutual respect for the coach.

So, without knowing what to expect or with whom in the future, it’s hard for Luka Modric to just talk about the love he has.

He also has to think, and he has about a month for that. For now, the only certainty is that whatever happens, he has achieved his dream, even if the reality ends up with fewer illusions and narrower horizons.
