After the top 20 rankings were decided after the final round of the 2025-26 season, the earnings of each team as a result of this ranking are now known.
According to Mundo Deportivo, these revenues were determined by the Royal Decree on Central Sales issued on April 30, 2015. This decree establishes a revenue distribution based on the final position of the league, namely 25% of the total revenue generated from the joint sale of television rights.
According to the same decree, 50% is distributed equally among all clubs, and the remaining 50% is divided into two parts.
The first section is called “Social Impact,” one-third of which is calculated based on season ticket revenue and average ticket revenue over the last five seasons.
The remaining two-thirds is calculated based on the clubs’ contribution to generating TV rights revenue, while the remaining 25% is determined based on their league ranking.
To calculate this, we need to start with the €1.292 billion allocated to TV rights for the 2024-2025 season. This is the last figure officially announced by La Liga, pending the final distribution of revenue for the 2025-2026 season.
25% of this amount is approximately 323 million euros Barcelona as league championson 17% of this total or approximately 55 million euros.
This is approximately €7 million more than the €48 million Real will receive based on their 15 percent stake.
As for third-placed Villarreal, they will receive approximately €42 million (13%), compared to €35.5 million for fourth-placed Atletico Madrid.
Real Betis, in fifth place, will receive €29 million (9% of the total), while Celta Vigo, in sixth place, not only qualified them for the Europa League, but also contributed around €22.5 million.
Seventh-placed Getafe will receive €16 million, eighth-placed Rayo Vallecano will receive €11 million, and ninth-placed Valencia (3% of the total) will receive €9.6 million.
From there, the number continues to decrease, from 10th to 17th, distributed as follows:
Real Sociedad (€8.8 million, 2.7%); Espanyol (€8.08m, 2.5%), Athletic Bilbao (€7.2m, 2.25%), Sevilla (€6.6m, 2%), Alaves (€5.6m, 1.7%), Elche (€4.8m, 1.5%), Levante (€4m, €1.2m, €1.2m) 1.2 million euros, Osuna, 1.2%),
Then come the relegation positions, as the three clubs relegated to the second division will receive approximately €2.4 million for Real Mallorca, €1.6 million for Girona and €800,000 for Oviedo.
