In the town of Abba, a Syrian man who was driving a motorcycle was killed by an Israeli attack, and in Jebchit, one person was killed in another attack. A medical assistant was killed by a drone attack while inspecting the site of a recent airstrike in Arab Salim, and an airstrike in Bazouriyeh in Tire left one person dead, NNA reported.
Israel’s military spokesman issued 16 orders to evacuate southern Lebanon, and local sources said Israel struck before and after.
“These attacks are very violent, and they are targeting populated areas, houses and villages,” Al Jazeera’s correspondent in Tire, Obaida Hitto, said. He explained that most of these places are not close to the front.
“We are seeing a significant increase in attacks on Israel,” Hitto said.
Rescue teams managed to pull out three bodies from the ruins of a house targeted by Israeli warplanes in the town of Srifa, in the southern Lebanese province of Tyre, according to NNA.
Hezbollah said it carried out several attacks on Israeli military bases and military bases throughout the day. Hezbollah forces attacked Israeli soldiers occupying a house in the Biyyada area of the South Governorate with a drone.
Hezbollah also fired rockets at soldiers in the town of Rashaf in Nabatieh district.
Continued Israeli bombing of southern Lebanon comes in the middle peace talks between the United States and Iran. Despite the long-term ceasefire, Israel and Hezbollah will continue to trade fire.
Since the conflict between Israel and Hezbollah began in early March, Israeli airstrikes in Lebanon have killed 3,151 people and injured 9,571, the Ministry of Health said in a statement obtained by NNA.
Hitto said that ordinary people are between a rock and a hard place, they have to decide whether they should stay in the south, close to their homes and communities, or continue to migrate for a long time outside the south.
Naim Qassem, the secretary general of Hezbollah, called on the Lebanese government to “change the decisions it has taken to destroy the resistance”.
In a statement reported by NNA, Qassem made the vow recently US sanctions against nine people linked to Hezbollah “will only strengthen our resolve”, and criticized Beirut for not acting strongly against Israel.
