Interesting numbers from the Saudi Arabian Professional League season
The curtain fell on the 2025-2026 season a few days ago as Al-Nasr crowned the Roshen League title for the first time in 7 years after a fierce battle with Al-Hilal until the final stage of the competition’s life.
The current season witnessed many records and individual and collective achievements, an edition that is considered to be one of the most exciting and powerful editions of the Roshen League at the offensive level, thanks to a large number of international and local stars.
Mane…the golden “amulet” of victory.
Senegal’s Sadio Mane continued to make history for Al-Nasr after becoming the first player from the club to go 25 Rushen League matches in a season without losing a single game.
Mane played 25 matches for Al-Alami in the tournament, during which the team won 24 and drew one, a number that reflects the Senegalese star’s influence in Portuguese coach Jorge Jesus’ system.
Winger Al-Nasri also continued his remarkable goal-scoring streak after scoring 10 or more goals for the third successive season in the Roshen League, confirming his value as one of the most consistent players in the competition in recent years.
Tony and Quiñones… a historic duo
The current season witnessed an exceptional event for the first time in Rushen League history after two players managed to score more than 30 goals in a single competition match.
Mexican Julian Quiñones, the striker of Al-Qadisiya, managed to finish the season as the league’s top scorer with 33 goals, while England’s Ivan Toney, the striker of Al-Ahly, finished second with 32 goals.
Toni’s brilliance was not limited to goals, but he managed to equal the record of Cristiano Ronaldo and Aleksandar Mitrovic after scoring in 22 different matches in one season, the most in the history of the competition.
An exceptional season
The current season has confirmed the strong attacking nature that has been imposed on the Rushen League, after the competition saw 921 goals scored, the highest in the competition’s history.
