Iran’s semiofficial Tasnim News Agency, which is close to the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), said that according to the memorandum of understanding, the number of ships passing through the Strait of Hormuz will return to pre-war levels.

“If the agreement is reached, the Strait of Hormuz will not return to its pre-conflict status; instead, the number of ships allowed to pass through may be returned to the conflict 30 days before the start of the conflict,” Tasnim said.

The US military blockade of Iran’s ports must be lifted within 30 days, according to a possible agreement, Tasnim said, adding that part of Iran’s frozen funds must be released in the first phase of the agreement.

A possible agreement would also include an end to hostilities on all sides, including in Lebanon, Tasnim said.

The Strait of Hormuz measures will go into effect for 30 days while talks on Iran’s nuclear program will continue for 60 days after a potential deal is signed, Tasnim said.

After the first 30 days, “the parties will have 30 days to reach an agreement on the nuclear issue.
