The police caught a child who was thrown from the window of the house and caught on fire

A body camera shows the moment a baby is caught by police after a mother threw the baby out a window after a house fire in Kalamazoo, Michigan, US.

Upon arriving at the scene, the officer saw the mother through an upstairs window. He pushed out the screen window and told her to drop her son. Then he caught the baby after a while.

The mother and child were taken to the hospital for precautionary evaluation, but were “uninjured,” the Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety said in a statement.

Officials added that the cause of the fire is under investigation.
