Carvajal evoked memories of a golden age
Spanish star Dani Carvajal gave a rousing microphone speech to Real Madrid fans at the Santiago Bernabeu after their 4-2 La Liga farewell win over Athletic Bilbao this Saturday evening, recalling his storied career and golden era with the Royals.
Carvajal told the fans. “Today I can’t help but remember the golden period we lived. With my departure, we ended a wonderful era, an era of 4 Champions League titles in 5 years. That 10th and three straight titles, that era was unforgettable.”
“In the name of Cristiano, Casillas, Ramos, Ancelotti, Zidane, this slogan was raised, and I want to ask for applause for them, because they lifted us up.”

The historical right defender of the Spanish national team added. “Finally, thank you all. You are wonderful. From my first day until now, you have carried us on your shoulders. What is experienced in this stadium cannot be described, it must be experienced.”
He continued. “You have supported me since the day I arrived. Seeing this farewell makes me proud to be a Madridista. Thank you for the impossible re-edits, and you for sticking with us through the good times and the bad.”
“There are players’ careers that are measured by achievements, but there are others that are measured by the number of people who remember them. I just hope that when you remember me, you do it with pride and with the confidence that I gave everything I had for this jersey.”
