A funny shot on the way to the Rushen League
A comical goal denied Al-Ula and Saudi Arabia goalkeeper Mohammed Al Owais a historic save en route to the Rushen League.

While Al-Ula was in front with a clear goal, the Diria team earned a penalty kick, which was scored by Frenchman Gaetan Laborde in the 65th minute of the match.
Mohammed Al Owais managed to stop the Frenchman’s penalty and it bounced back to Al-Ula’s Michel, who tried to deflect it, but he hit his team-mate Ali Al Hussain in the face and it strangely bounced into the net.
This comical mistake prevented Al-Ula from holding on to the lead until the end to qualify for the Saudi Roshan League next season.

Both Al-Diriya and Al-Ula are dreaming of qualifying for the Saudi Roshan League next season, becoming the third team to book their place in the competition, after Abha and Al-Faisal, who booked their place outright.
Notably, Diriya and Al-Ula finished third and fourth in the first division of the Saudi Yellow League before progressing to the semi-finals of the qualifying play-offs to the Roshan League at the expense of Al-Jabalain and Al-Oruba respectively.
