Inzaghi responded to Napoli’s coaching offer

Italian Simone Inzaghi, the coach of Al Hilal of Saudi Arabia, responded to the training offer. NaplesAfter he strictly entered the list of candidates to replace Antonio Conte in the next season.

According to Italian newspaper La Gazzetta dello Sport, Inzaghi has been at the forefront of the proposals to take over as Napoli manager after being contacted by the club about a possible return to Italy after just one season at Al Hilal.

The Italian coach, who narrowly missed out on the Saudi League title after winning the trophy, decided to reject the offer despite his appreciation for the interest, postponing talks to the future on purely tax grounds.

The situation witnessed what happened to Stefano Pioli after his experience with Al-Nasr, when he had to wait a few weeks before officially announcing his move to Fiorentina due to tax restrictions in Saudi Arabia to avoid paying huge taxes.

Inzaghi cannot coach another team until July 2027 unless he agrees to pay back most of his salary, around 6 million euros, to the tax authorities, in accordance with Saudi Arabia’s laws regarding the residency of workers inside the country.

Inzaghi remains in his position at Al Hilal and despite complaints from fans on social media, there is no intention of the club’s management to make a technical change or sack the coach.
