Saudi Arabia’s national team is set to play two friendlies as part of its preparation camp in America before the start of the 2026 World Cup, and technical director Dennis has decided to strengthen his support staff with local talent.

Al-Sharq Al-Awsat newspaper revealed that the Nicaragua team was selected on June 4 and the Senegal team on the 9th of the same month at the San Antonio Club Stadium in Texas.

Al-Akhdar plans to hold friendly matches in America as part of its preparatory camp, which will be held from May 25 to June 11 as part of the fourth and final stage of the World Cup preparation program.

The Saudi Arabian national team will play in the eighth group of the 2026 World Cup together with Spain, Uruguay and Cape Verde.

On the other hand, the newspaper notes that the Greek coach Donis has decided to turn to the help of a number of personnel and experts working in local clubs in order to strengthen his support staff before the World Cup.

Those names include translator Ahmed Al-Ajmi from Al-Khalij Club “to ensure ease of communication between the technical staff and players”, and performance analysts Munter Al-Jassim and Muhammad Al-Qadeeb from Al-Fateh and Al-Khalij respectively.
