A new position for a man of Saudi and Asian achievements
The Saudi Arabian Football Federation today announced the appointment of Fahd Al-Mufarej as Executive Director of the Senior and Under-23 teams, a move to strengthen administrative and technical work in the next phase of the national teams’ development strategy.
Al-Mufaraj’s appointment to this position comes as part of the Federation’s plan to unify the administrative vision between the first and Olympic teams and create greater integration in preparation and development programs in line with the goals of Saudi football at the continental and international levels.
For his part, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Saudi Arabian Football Federation, Yasser Al-Meshal, confirmed that this appointment is part of the federation’s direction to strengthen the administrative and operational work in the national teams, wishing him success in his next mission.
Fahd Al-Mufaraj has extensive administrative experience in football, having previously held the position of Director of Football at Al-Hilal for several seasons, during which he achieved numerous local and Asian achievements, before most recently taking on administrative duties at the Football Association.

Al-Mufaraj is expected to begin his new duties in the coming days as he will oversee all organizational and administrative aspects of the teams and coordinate with the technical staff to develop preparation plans for upcoming competitions, especially the 2026 World Cup qualifiers and the U-23 Asian Cup.
The Saudi Arabian Football Federation has confirmed that the move is related to the institutional development process and increasing the efficiency of work in the national teams, ensuring the achievement of the highest standards of professionalism and technical and administrative stability.
