Everything you need to know about watching the Czech Republic against Mexico and more this summer
Football fans in the Czech Republic are preparing for a historic trip to North America this summer as the “Czech Battalion” marks their long-awaited return to the 2026 World Cup after a long absence of 20 years, particularly since the 2006 edition in Germany.
The Czechs’ qualification for the European play-offs came after a true epic that went all the way down to the penalty shoot-out, so top scorer Patrik Cech’s friends made up for the fans’ modest qualification with a thrilling Group A encounter alongside Mexico (hosts), South Korea and South Africa.
After finishing second in the 1962 World Cup, the Czechs have only qualified for the knockout stages once (1990). Here is the schedule of group meetings that you are waiting for this time.
