Spanish veteran star Cesar Azpilicueta has announced that he will end his football career after the last season spent in the team of “Seville”.
Azpilicueta is 36 years old and has previously played for Chelsea, Atletico Madrid, Marseille and Osasuna.
“This season will be my last as a professional footballer. “After all these years of living my dream, I feel it’s time to start a new chapter in my life,” the X site wrote.
He continued, “Honestly, even though I was preparing for this moment, it was difficult to write this letter. After 20 seasons, many people have been instrumental in my career.”
“When I kicked a ball for the first time as a child in Pamplona with my schoolmates, I never imagined what a wonderful journey awaited me. I am grateful for every moment, the wins, the tough losses, the challenges and most importantly the people I met and befriended along the way.”

AS newspaper reported that Azpilicueta will work as a television analyst with the BBC during the World Cup in the United States of America, Mexico and Canada.
Azpilicueta represented the Spanish team in 44 international matches, during which he scored one goal, participated in two World Cup and one European Championship.
Cesar Azpilicueta spent 12 seasons with Chelsea, took over as captain and played more than 500 official matches.
