Yamal: I don’t want to be compared with the star of “Real”.

Lamine Yamal, the star of “Barcelona” and the Spanish national team, said that Matador is currently playing the best football.

The Spanish national team is going to participate in the 2026 World Cup in Group H alongside Saudi Arabia, Cape Verde and Uruguay.

Yamal added during his interview with the FIFA website. “We have to trust our style of play, which has proven to be successful, and give everything to win the World Cup.”

“Spain’s bid to win the World Cup title gives us no advantage or anything. At Euro 2024, the opposite happened and we won the continental title despite being knocked out of the nominations before the tournament started.”

He noted: “There are very strong teams in the 2026 World Cup, such as France, Portugal, Argentina, the defending champions and England.”

“I aspire that no one compares me to the level of Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo, Neymar and Kylian Mbappe. Rather, I want to put my name next to them.”

Yamal concluded. “I want to create my own identity, enjoy football and make the fans happy.”
