The Portuguese midfielder was not at his best against Al-Fayha
“Al Hilal” forward Karim Benzema’s curse hit his Portuguese teammate Ruben Neves in the current season of Saudi Arabia’s Roshen League.
Neves captained Al Hilal in their clash with Al Fayha today Thursday at the Al Majmaah Sports City Stadium in the thirty-fourth and final round of the Roshen League.
In the 64th minute, the referee of the match awarded a penalty in favor of Al Hilal due to the obstruction of winger Sultan Mandashi in the penalty area of Al Faiha.
Ruben Neves went for the penalty kick but was unable to put it into the net after Al-Fayha goalkeeper Orlando Mosquera made a brilliant save.
This was the first penalty that Ruben Neves missed this season, after he managed to convert the previous penalties.
Strangely, the waste came in front of Mosquera, who posed a problem for French striker Karim Benzema when he was with Al-Ittihad.
Mosquera took the penalties Benzema took in two different matches last season and this season.
