England coach Thomas Tuchel has decidedThe stance of several prominent players on joining the Three Lions roster during the 2026 World Cup.
As reported by Sky Sports, Tuchel has decided to include Saudi Al-Ahly star Ivan Toni in England’s World Cup squad, while Phil Foden (Manchester City) and Levi Colwell (Chelsea) will be left out.
In the same context, the British newspaper “The Telegraph” has confirmed the exclusion of “Nottingham Forest” star Morgan Gibbs-White, and Tuchel will include Jude Bellingham (Real Madrid), Eberechi Eze (Arsenal) and Morgan Rodgers (Aston Villa) as playmaker options.
The British outlet said the exclusion of Palmer and Foden was one of Tuchel’s most important decisions before announcing his final 26-man World Cup squad.
Palmer has been in decline this season with Chelsea, although he scored England’s goal in the European Championship final two years ago and was regarded as one of the team’s most important attacking elements.
Foden has started every match at Euro 2024, but has been left out this season after struggling with Manchester City.
The Telegraph reports that in the absence of Palmer and Foden, Arsenal winger Noni Madueke will join the final list of players heading to the US, Mexico and Canada.
Tuchel is expected to officially announce his final line-up at Wembley Stadium tomorrow morning, Friday.
