The Italian coach decided to remove the French striker from the Al-Fayha game
TV reports have revealed the fact that there was an altercation between Italy’s Al Hilal coach Simone Inzaghi and his French striker Karim Benzema ahead of the Saudi Roshen League clash with Al-Fayha.
Al Hilal will host Al Fayha at the Al Majmaah Sports City Stadium today, Thursday.Thirty-fourth in the last round of Rushen League.
Al Hilal will be without Benzema after Inzaghi decided to leave him out of the squad for the trip to Al Majmaa to face Al Fayha yesterday, Wednesday, sparking suspicions of a rift between them.
These doubts were made even bigger by the fact that the French striker, not traveling, would not celebrate with the team that won the Saudi League title, should the surprise happen.
However, Al-Arabiya TV reporter Nayef Al-Takil completely and thoroughly denied these rumors as he confirmed that there are no differences between the Italian coach and his French striker.
Al-Takil explained that Benzema underwent medical and fitness tests yesterday, Wednesday, as a result of which it was found that he was not ready to participate in the match, and then the decision was made to send him off.
Al-Hilal ranks second in the Saudi Arabian league standings with 81 points, two points behind the leader Al-Nasr.
Al-Zaim must beat Al-Fayha, while neighbors and arch-rivals Al-Nasr stumble in their last game against Damak to claim the Saudi League title that was missing from their coffers last season.
