For a miracle… Inzaghi uses a Brazilian player to replace Benzema… and Al-Dosari’s position (preparation)

The Italian coach announced the formation of “Al-Zaim” against Al-Fayha

Italian coach Simone Inzaghi of Al Hilal has used the Brazilian blend at the end of his matches in the current 2025-2026 season in the Saudi Roshen League.

In the thirty-fourth and final round of the Roshan League, Al Hilal will host Al Fayha at the Al Majmaah Sports City Stadium today, Thursday.

The starting line-up saw the absence of Al Hilal captain Salem Al-Dosari as Inzaghi decided to drop him on the bench despite his recovery from injury and the team’s group training session yesterday, Wednesday.

The Italian coach has decided to use a Brazilian duo in the forward line consisting of winger Malcom and striker Marcos Leonardo, while Sultan Mandesh plays as a right winger in the midfield five.

Notably, Al Hilal are without French striker Karim Benzema due to the injury he is currently suffering from, which ruled him out of the last match against NEOM.

Al Hilal play Al Fayha and are second in the Saudi League table with 81 points, two points behind leaders Al Nasr.

Al-Zaim must beat Al-Fayha, while neighbors and arch-rivals Al-Nasr stumble in their last game against Damak to claim the Saudi League title that was missing from their coffers last season.

The formation of Al-Hilal was as follows.

Goalkeeper: Yasin Bunu

Defensive line: Hassan Timbukti – Ruben Neves – Miteb Al-Harbi

Midfield: Sultan Mendes – Sergej Milinkovic-Savic – Mohamed Kanno – Nasser Al-Dosari – Theo Hernandez

Offensive line: Malcolm – Marcos Leonardo
