This isn’t exactly a duffel bag so much as “the world’s first mouth-to-mouth system,” as Rux calls it, but it’s still an impressive piece of equipment from a company known for its machine tools. Not unlike a twisted version of A standard 70L containerThe duffel box starts out flat, but the sides come out, and the top of the patent pending drops to create a box that stays open by itself. There are no zippers involved in its construction, but there are several fasteners, panels, and pockets, and you should watch it YouTube tutorial video to use everything. However, the beauty of this bag is that it can be anything you want it to be. Long-term storage, luggage, gear box—even a bag. It’s all possible with integrated cables and distributors in the right places.

Over the past four months, my family has used it as a custom bag, a storage box, and, currently, a gear organizer for my son’s soccer team. It’s been trampled, rained on, tossed in carts and car trunks, and lined with 105D nylon gridstop fabric. (Although it did get stuck in a rainstorm once, and I’d say I’m not sure I’d count the fabric as waterproof-near-waterproof.)
