Salah and Marmoush lead the Pharaohs’ stars
The technical staff of the Egyptian national team, headed by Hossam Hassan, published today, Wednesday, the preliminary list of Pharaohs invited to participate in the 2026 World Cup in the USA, Canada and Mexico, which includes 27 players.
First-time strikers Aktay Abdullah (Enpi) and Hamza Abdel Karim (Barcelona) were included in the Pharaohs’ first-team squad, while Hossam Hassan, Nantes’ French striker Mostafa Mohamed was left out.
In the first row of the event, as usual, the stars of “Liverpool” and “Manchester City” were Mohamed Salah and Omar Marmoush, respectively.

The list published by the Egyptian Football Association is as follows.
Gatekeeping. Mohamed El-Shenawi, Mustafa Schubert, Mahdi Suleiman, Mohamed Ala.

Attack line. Omar Marmush, Aktai Abdullah, Hamza Abdel Karim.
One player is expected to be left out, bringing the number to 26, before the United States travel to the World Cup in Group Seven, which also includes Belgium, Iran and New Zealand.
