The European Union has called for the ban to be extended worldwide
The European Football Association (UEFA) has announced the ban of Czech women’s football coach Petr Vlachovski for life after it was proven that he secretly photographed his players.
Czech media reported that the coach was convicted in May 2025 and initially given a one-year suspended sentence and a five-year ban from training at the site for filming Slovakian FC players in the dressing room, the youngest of whom was 17, Reuters reported.
According to the indictment reported by the Czech media, Vlachovski admitted his act and repented.
The European Union’s Disciplinary Committee said in a statement that it had decided to ban Vlachowski “for life from any football-related activity” following an investigation into allegations of possible misconduct.
“The Disciplinary Committee has also decided to apply to the International Football Federation (FIFA) to extend the scope of the aforementioned ban to the global level and ordered the Czech Football Association to revoke the coaching license of Petr Vlachovski.
Vlachovski previously also worked as a coach of the Czech women’s under-19 national team.
For its part, the International Federation of Professional Footballers (FIFPro) welcomed the ban, as well as UEFA’s request for FIFA to impose an international ban on Vlachowski.
