UK Weather: A heat wave of 30C is possible over the Bank Holiday weekend.


A Heat wave In the UK, the Met Office has recorded at least three consecutive days of daily maximum temperatures above county-specific limits, reflecting unusually warm weather.

Heatwave threshold temperatures vary across the UK. It is 28C in Greater London and 25C in Northern Ireland and Scotland.

A few areas may meet the definition of a heat wave on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Currently, areas such as London and the South Midlands are most likely to see this.

With unseasonably warm weather expected to continue into Tuesday and beyond, many parts of England and Wales could experience a heat wave after the Bank Holiday break.
