RFK Jr. He was forced to withdraw a document that opened up the CDC to anti-vaccines

A revised document from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s vaccine advisory committee has been withdrawn by the Department of Health because of a regulatory error, according to notice published in the Federal Register on Tuesday.

Charter changes under anti-vaccine Secretary of Health Robert F. Kennedy Jr. would have allowed Kennedy to appoint qualified anti-vaccine allies to advise the CDC. It would also direct the CDC to focus on vaccine injuries and risks and welcome minority groups and anti-vaccine organizations to participate in federal vaccine policymaking.

Kennedy’s move to reorganize the CDC’s Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices, or ACIP, came amid Kennedy’s attempts to interfere, and a court order to end the intervention.

In June last year, Kennedy dismissed all 17 scholars from the ACIP and quickly replaced it with untested and unqualified anti-vaccination agents. The Kennedy ACIP held several meetings where it exposed anti-vaccination sentiment and misinformation, allowed anti-vaccination activists to hold countless demonstrations, and ultimately voted to remove long-standing, evidence-based federal policy based on anti-vaccination rhetoric. This includes the removal of all recommendations for hepatitis B vaccination at birth, even though there is no evidence of any safety or benefit of delaying the dose. A series of studies that followed found that the change would mean more diseasesincrease in liver cancer and death, as well as millions of dollars in health care costs.
