Since winning the Italian league title in 2020, Juventus have entered a continuous cycle of sporting failures and confusing administrative decisions, to the point where the club is experiencing what resembles a “zero year” each new season.
While the team was celebrating the Scudetto at the time, led by Maurizio Sarri and with Cristiano Ronaldo on the pitch, it only managed to win two Coppa Italias and one Supercoppa, a modest figure compared to the amount of spending and ambition.
But what is more shocking than the results is the amount of money spent in those years. Juventus injected around €875 million into the transfer market from the 2020-2021 season to the 2025-2026 season, while net investment was around €400 million after accounting for sales.
While there have been some successful deals, such as the free signing of Kenan Yıldız and the extension of his contract until 2030, the club has also been involved in lengthy contracts that have become a financial and technical burden, according to the report. Italian La Gazzetta dello Sport.
