With his selection in Brazil’s final World Cup 2026 roster, star Neymar Jr. has created history as he has become part of a unique roster that includes 8 legends.
After widespread controversy and doubts about the intentions of technical director Carlo Ancelotti, he decided on the latter. Neymar was included in the roster of the World Cup in Brazil. The tournament will begin in the group stage with Morocco, Haiti and Scotland respectively.
As reported by the Globo website, “Neymar is now on the list of legends who have participated in 4 World Cup tournaments: 2014, 2018, 2022 and 2026.
He preceded Neymar.
Castillo (1950, 1954, 1958 and 1962), Djalma Santos (1954, 1958, 1962 and 1966), Nilton Santos (1950, 1954, 1958 and 1962), Pele (1958, 1962, 1966 and 1970), Emerson Leao (1970, 1974, 1978 and 1986), Cafu (1994, 1998, 2002 and 2006), Ronaldo (1994, 1998, 2002 and 2006), Thiago Silva (2010, 2012 and 2020).
But of all the players on this list, only two players failed to win the World Cup, Thiago Silva and Neymar, according to the same website.
