Mohammadi will remain under “medical supervision”, the foundation says.

Iranian human rights activist and winner of the 2023 Nobel Peace Prize Narges Mohammadi He has returned home after being discharged from the hospital, the foundation said.
Mohammadi, 54, was discharged from Pars Hospital in Tehran on Sunday, the Narges Foundation said on Monday. He was he was transferred from prison to hospital at the beginning of May after having two episodes of loss of consciousness and a serious heart attack.

Mohammadi “plans to follow up on his medical problems with his medical team by going to the hospital and daily physiotherapy in the coming weeks”, the statement read, adding that the doctors said “it is important for him to be under medical supervision”.

Mohammadi won the 2023 Nobel Peace Prize “for his fight against the oppression of women in Iran and his fight for human rights and freedom for all,” the Norwegian Nobel Committee said.
Mohammadi, an engineer by training, has been arrested 13 times and sentenced five times, serving 30 years in prison.
