Ousmane Dembele is nursing a muscle strain, Paris Saint-Germain have revealed

Forward Ousmane Dembele will undergo treatment in the coming days for a strain in his right calf muscle, Paris Saint-Germain said.

The Ballon d’Or winner, 29, was brought off in the first half for the French champions along with striker Goncalo Ramos. Lost 2-1 to Paris FC Sunday marks the final day of the Ligue 1 season.

Head coach Luis Enrique initially suggested he thought Dembele needed to be replaced due to fatigue, but in a statement released on Monday, the club revealed it was necessary as a precautionary measure.

Defending champions PSG will face Premier League leaders Arsenal in the Champions League final at the Puskas Arena in Budapest on May 30.

Dembele also made it 26-man France squad For this summer’s World Cup, which begins on June 11.
