Celebrities paint garden noms for charity as a way to lift the ban

The Royal Horticultural Society has temporarily lifted its ban on garden plants at the Chelsea Flower Show.

Alan Titchmarsh, Dame Mary Berry and David Beckham are among the famous faces who painted noms to raise money for the Royal Horticultural Society’s school gardening campaign.

The BBC’s Sarah Campbell went to see the gnomes before this year’s Chelsea Flower Show opened on Tuesday. It runs until Saturday, May 23.
