The Liberian Football Association is set to appoint Morocco coach Rachid Tausi as the national team’s technical staff ahead of next Tuesday’s 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier draw, media has revealed.

The Liberian federation is looking to use the Moroccan coach’s experience to return the Liberian national team to the top of the continent and qualify for the finals of the Africa Cup of Nations.

Al-Tawsi has a wealth of experience in training, having previously managed the training of major Moroccan clubs, including Raja Athletic Club, Royal Army and Fez of Morocco, in addition to his experience with the Moroccan national team.

A tough task…and a big dream

Rachid Al-Tausi’s first goal, if his appointment is confirmed, will be to lead the Liberian national team to a place in the finals of the Africa Cup of Nations.
