Conor McGregor will make his UFC return against Max Holloway in July WWE news

Conor McGregor will return against Max Holloway in a welterweight bout at UFC 329 on July 11 in Las Vegas.

The 37-year-old has not fought since breaking his leg in a 2021 fight against Dustin Poirier and has faced a series of legal problems over the past eight years.

The fight against Holloway will be a rematch of the 2013 featherweight bout, which McGregor won on points.

Last July, a jury found McGregor guilty in a civil sexual assault case stemming from a 2018 incident, which was upheld by Ireland’s High Court.

The MMA fighter lost his appeal on five grounds after Nikita Hand successfully sued McGregor in a civil court for raping her in a south Dublin hotel penthouse in December 2018.

McGregor was scheduled to return to fight Michael Chandler in July 2024, but withdrew due to a toe injury.

The Irishman burst onto the MMA scene in 2013 and became the first UFC fighter to hold two championship belts in 2016 with a win over Eddie Alvarez for the lightweight title. He won the featherweight title a year ago by knocking out Jose Aldo.

McGregor fought Floyd Mayweather Jr. in a boxing match in 2017 during a two-year hiatus from the UFC, but has lost three of his last four fights.
