The secret is in Yassin Bono. Were Al-Hilal deliberately teasing Al-Nasr’s loss?

Al Hilal Club’s official page on social media platform ‘X’ sparked controversy after Al Nasr lost to Japan’s Gamba Osaka in the AFC Champions League 2nd Final yesterday, Saturday, with an unanswered goal.

Al-Nasr’s defeat came hours after Al-Hilal’s 2-0 win over NEOM in Round 33 of the Roshan Pro League, thus delaying the title decision until last week.

Al-Hilal posted a tweet showing Yassin Bounou’s match from the game and commented: “A clean sheet for one with a beautiful smile” referring to the Moroccan goalkeeper leaving the game without conceding a goal.

But most fans associated the tweet with mockery of the victory, given that it was immediately after the defeat, which caused a state of anger.

There is a fierce competition between Al-Hilal and Al-Nasr for the Roshan Professional League title this season as Al-Alami top the table with 83 points, one point ahead of Al-Zaim.

The title decider is set for next Thursday as Al-Hilal play Al-Fayha and Al-Nasr play Damak.
