Hart: ‘Terrifying and threatening atmosphere’ forces exit from Celtic Park

Hearts say they were forced to leave Celtic Park as soon as the final whistle blew in their Scottish Premiership decider due to a “scary and threatening atmosphere inside the stadium”.

Fans stormed the pitch after Calum Osmond scored to give Celtic a 3-1 lead in stoppage time as the reigning champions leapfrogged the visitors to secure their fifth straight league title in an incredible end to the season.

In a statement released after their return to Tynecastle, Hearts said they “totally condemn the disgraceful display at Celtic Park, which has once again embarrassed Scottish football”.
