The Portuguese coach is looking to win his first title with Al-Nasr
The Portuguese coach of Al-Nasr, Jorge Jesus, gave a surprise to his French winger Kingsley Coman in the 2nd final of the AFC Champions League, against the Japanese Gamba Osaka.
Today, Saturday, Al Nasr will host Gamba Osaka in the second leg of the AFC Champions League final at Awal Park Stadium.
Jesus has decided to rely on the starting line-up to deny reports that Portugal star Cristiano Ronaldo will rest six players to avoid stress ahead of facing Damascus in the final round of the Rushen League.
The only key player left out of the starting line-up by the Portuguese coach is French winger Kingsley Coman, who has been replaced by Abdul Rahman Gharib, given his brilliance during the current Asian Cup campaign.
Another absentee was Croatian midfielder Marcelo Brozovic as Jesus brought on left-back Saad Al-Nasser in midfield.
On the other hand, Jesus returned Spanish defender Inigo Martinez to the center of defense in place of Abdel-Ilah Al-Omari to play alongside Frenchman Mohamed Simakan, while Ayman Yahya was included at left-back.
Al-Nasr are looking to win the third continental title in their football history and the first in the last 28 years, specifically since 1998, as well as the first in the AFC Champions League 2.
The composition of the victory was as follows.
Goalkeeper: Pinto
Defensive line: Nawaf Bushel – Mohamed Simakan – Inigo Martinez – Ayman Yahya
Midfield: Abdel-Rahman Gharib – Ali Al-Hassan – Saad Al-Nasser – Sadio Mane
Forward line: Joao Felix – Cristiano Ronaldo
